Gov.
Rick Snyder and Lt. Gov. Brian Calley today announced that the Governor’s
Office of Constituent Services is going mobile to help address questions and
concerns of Michigan residents.
Beginning
on Monday, June 18, representatives from the Governor’s Office of Constituent
Services will visit more than 60 locations across the state to meet face to
face with community members. Staff will be available to answer questions,
address concerns, offer explanations and take suggestions in regard to current
government issues affecting citizens, communities and businesses. The program
is scheduled through mid-July.
“I
want to hear directly from those in communities across Michigan. Our citizens
are my top priority,” Snyder said. “We continue to listen to many ideas and
suggestions and this is another way to make government as accessible as
possible.”
Important
topics for discussion include but are not limited to the state budget, the
ongoing reinvention of Michigan and opportunities to get involved in state
government. Representatives will be on hand to offer assistance with state
agency relations and any other state-related matter. No appointment is
necessary. The mobile hours are in addition to regular office hours of
Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. in Lansing.
Hope to see you soon!
